AP Day 3

We continued our discussion of lab safety today.  The videos below serve as an overview of lab safety and also fire extinguisher operation.

Students became oriented to common laboratory equipment (see presentation below) along with the Bunsen Burner.  Students will have a lab practical in which they must demonstrate proficiency in operating a Bunsen Burner safely.

HOMEWORK:

• Signed lab safety contract and lab safety test will be tomorrow, Friday 9/2/16.
  
• Watch and take notes (trying using the EDU method...view for Exposure, view for Details, view for Understanding) on the videos below, orienting you to Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and the various pictograms and warning labels that are used to denote hazards.
