AP Day 4

We reviewed the lab safety rules from the safety contract, compiling a "Top 5" list based on students' choices of the most important rules to remember.  We followed this with an activity using Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to deduce the identity of an unknown liquid.  The lab safety test was administered and lab notebooks were distributed.  Students were given a handout describing the various sectins that a lab report should contain.

Next week:

• AP Chemistry  Benchmark Test #1 on Tuesday, 9/6 (serves as a baseline measurement to assess growth throughout the year...it will not count as a course grade assignment) & Bunsen Burner practice/practical
